Volunteer Match

Do you have time to give?

Or do you have an organization in the Lake Travis area that needs volunteer help?

Welcome to our Volunteer Match page ... a place to connect our local seniors and the organizations that do so much to support our community.

We have included some links below to local organizations and their volunteer needs as listed on their websites. If you have time to give, please contact these organizations directly to learn more about their programs and needs. If you are with an organization that has a volunteer need, whether it's ongoing or for a certain event or timeframe, you may submit information via the form button that follows.

Many thanks to all for working together to make Lake Travis such a wonderful place to live!

Angel Wings of Lake Travis
https://angelwingslaketravis.wixsite.com/angelwingslaketravis/volunteer
We are a small group of women who came together in an effort to help ease the suffering of families who have suffered the unimaginable loss of their newborn babies. Angel gowns are made from donated wedding dresses. We provide these beautiful garments free of charge to grieving families. We also sew various items for Brookdale Lohmans, Foster Angels, Abigail Keller Foundation, Esperanza Homes for Homeless, and BIG Love Cancer at Dell Children's Hospital. Even if you have zero sewing experience, you can help. We meet at Rough Hollow's Highland Village in Lakeway.

Chariot
https://chariot.org/volunteer/
Chariot volunteer drivers use their own cars to provide seniors door-to-door rides to medical appointments, grocery stores, hair appointments, pharmacies, banks, activity centers, support groups
, and other errands. Typically a round trip takes 2-3 hours; a one-way drop off is about an hour.

Lake Travis Community Library
https://laketravislibrary.org/volunteer-program/
Volunteer opportunities include shelving materials, helping as a technology coach, working in the Friends of the Library Bookstore, processing new materials, or helping with special programs. We ask that volunteers commit to at least one weekly two or three hour shift and at least six months of service. Please com
plete the Volunteer Application Form and we will be sure to find the right position for you. If you have any questions please stop by the library or contact Adult Volunteer Coordinator, Marie Rodriguez, at mrodriguez@laketravislibrary.org or (512) 263-2885. As a volunteer you are automatically considered a Friend of the Library; please visit the Friends of the Library page for more information.

Lake Travis Crisis Ministries

https://ltcrisisministries.org/contact-us

Lake Travis Crisis Ministries Food Pantry has been serving the community for over 35 years.  We were founded in 1988 by volunteers from a local church. The purpose was simple: assist single mothers with food for their families. With the community’s involvement, we have grown into an ecumenical, 501 c(3) organization that helps hundreds of families living in the Lake Travis area.  LTCM is a 100% volunteer organization, with no paid staff, and 100% of our donations come from the local community.
